USAID’s Economic Security program is launching a set of training workshops in management, sales, finance and marketing for representatives of companies from South Serbia working in two targeted sectors: dairy and light manufacturing.
The first course is organized on 26 and 27 January, in Vranje, for representatives of dairies. The aim of the training is to contribute towards enhancing companies’ business strategies in order to increase sales and improve product offering.
This first training course deals with general management concepts, with an emphasis on managing change in an organization during times of inevitable changes in the market. The training will teach managing directors to seek out the most efficient and effective ways to develop and implement sweeping organizational changes with respect to the company’s current market position and life-cycle stage. The topics that will be addressed in the training include: management of change, quality of decision, mastering coorporate life cycles and others.
USAID’s Economic Security program works to promote economic growth in underdeveloped municipalities in southern and southwestern Serbia by working with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) helping them to become more competitive in their current market and expand into new markets. The business development activities supported by the program include: supporting trade show attendance and study tour participation; training in business skills, marketing, product design, and sales; assisting with international quality standards acquisition; and, creating market linkages at trade shows.
