Since 2008, USAID Trade Fair activities have helped supported companies generate more than $10 million in new sales and enter new markets throughout the region and Europe including Germany, Russia, Belarus and the Czech Republic.

Trade Fairs and Trade Missions Key to Success

Six Serbian small and medium-sized textile companies participating in USAID’s business support activities opened the door to a potential $200,000 in new export opportunities as a result of attending Panair, Albania’s largest Trade Fair, in Tirana November 25-30. USAID’s Economic Security team organized three Trade Mission visits in advance of this year’s Fair.

Team also organized: 1) pre-Fair advertising; 2) meetings with potential retail and wholesale buyers; and, 3) a fashion show to showcase Serbia’s well-recognized apparel designs. Companies exhibiting last week were all members of Asstex, the Textile Association from Novi Pazar - Bros, Stig, Maxers, Brug, Big Boys and Classic.
