Improving municipal capacity to respond to community needs is critical to expanding economic opportunities and diminishing perceptions of social isolation, particularly for vulnerable groups. Improved services may also be important to promoting the economic growth necessary to further integrate vulnerable groups into the wider society.
Through this activity, ES offers assistance to municipalities focused on these two themes:
- Supporting municipal capacity to serve vulnerable groups to promote their integration into the local economy, and
- Building opportunities for citizen interaction with the municipality
