Belgrade, May 9, 2011: Open Request for Application (RFA) from local service providers (organizations, NGOs, training providers, professional consulting companies) to conduct entrepreneurship trainings for entrepreneurs in municipalities Bujanovac, Presevo and Vranje.
Development Alternatives, Inc. (DAI) is the primary implementer of the Preparedness, Planning and Economic Security Program, an activity funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The Preparedness, Planning and Economic Security Program core objective statement is to increase Serbia’s ability to secure the safety and property of its citizens and the abilities of business owners and young people to succeed in a modern economy.
This RFA is related to the activities under the program’s Economic Security component, specifically under the Workstream 2 – Youth entrepreneurship and workforce development as part of joint project of PPES and HELP (Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V.).
Activity Details:
PPES and HELP will cooperate to support the group of 157 small businesses in South Serbia by providing them financial and technical assistance in order to help them establish and improve business performance. Particularly, NGO HELP, the City and the Municipalities will provide grant funds to additional 6 entrepreneurs in order to help them start a business, while PPES will provide funds for the organization of business training to 157 entrepreneurs and vocational training related to food processing sector to approximately 60 entrepreneurs, all who have already received grants.
NGO HELP already identified a group of 157 small entrepreneurs who showed the need to attend business trainings and a group of 60 entrepreneurs need a vocational trainings.
PPES Program, will provide the funds for the implementation of a business training to a selected group of entrepreneurs and is in charge to lead and manage this selection process for service providers to implement business trainings.
NGO HELP will be in charge to organize and manage selection process for service providers to implement vocational trainings, which are not part of this call for proposals.
The City of Vranje and municipalities Bujanovac and Presevo will allow free usage of the appropriate space for the organization of the planned trainings.
